Today bright and early, our agency group, made up of three families had our medical checks for our sweet little ones. I must admit I was very nervous, and truly not sure why, but Lottie did wonderful! It was a busy and hectic process as many adoptive families were moving from one exam room to the next. And boy was it hot! But due to Lottie's age, less than 2 years old, her portion of the medical exam was not that extensive and didn't include the dreaded TB blood test.
We were in and out within 2 hours and all in all it wasn't too bad of an experience, we were just very tired as we arrived from Xi'an the night before and were going on 5 hours of sleep and lots of Chinese tea. We did learn Lottie is 18-19 lbs- and isn't a fan of a tongue depressor in her mouth other than that, it was lost in translation! Although the process wasn't too bad, we did consider the special treat in the vending machine, but opted to wait for later that evening.
