Once discovering we were expecting last May, we decided to postpone Lottie's Baptism & celebrate both blessings together. It was a combination of having way too much on our plate with Lottie's upcoming surgeries & a nauseated Mama chasing around a soon to be 2 year old who could barely plan dinner. Looking back we thought the reason to postpone Lottie's baptism was decided by many factors, yet now I truly believe God has his hands in this decision.
We planned for both babies to be baptized at our church St. John Vianney, in Round Rock, TX. We thought it would be an intimate party but after invitations were sent out, we were so excited to hear how many family & friends would travel to Texas to help us welcome our daughters into God's church. Six states were represented! (FL, MD, MO, PA, NM, & TX). By May, we were in full party planning mode- planning a fabulous TX BBQ menu with all the fixins, decorations & the girls many coordinating outfits.
Since flight schedules were tricky, we planned a big party on Saturday, July 19 & a smaller party Sunday after the Baptism. It was such a special weekend, and I will forever remember all the love we felt throughout the entire weekend. Lottie & Bethany were loving all the attention, and spending time with their loved ones. Lottie especially enjoyed sitting with her Great-Grandmother JJ, who she was named after, and whom decided on her nickname "Lottie". Lots of great food, laughter and stories were shared, as I looked around throughout the weekend I was in awe of what God has provided for my family & what he continues to provide for us every single day. We are so blessed & so grateful for HIS love.

We haven't forgotten about our BLOG...but we are pretty busy! The girls are growing and oh so beautiful. Lottie is talking more everyday, she's in 2 hours of speech therapy a week. We are working full time and trying to soak in those beautiful family moments, and we are starting a fundraising venture to help other adopting families fundraise, its called With Every Act of Love. We promise to get our act together and give some updates! And we cannot wait to share our newest blog! But for now here are some photos!

Our sweet friend Allison is starting her own photography business & asked to use our little ladies as models. The shoot was fun & although Bethany couldn't sit up on her own we got some really cute shots of the girls! Charlotte Lee Wei & Bethany Lin Capri
"A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life."
I've always wanted daughters, ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of the day of having a family and all of my daughters ( I think at one point I wanted 8 daughters, now thinking 4 may be a good number and a son would be a blessing as well). As a young girl a dreamed of adoption, I played with my dolls each one different yet perfect in their own way. Often friends would question how these baby dolls could be sisters, they don't look alike. I would confidently say "you don't need to look alike to be sisters" and I would take the time to explain adoption and how one day this would be how my family would look.
This photograph gives me chills, for one it beautifully captured my most precious gifts, my beautiful daughters, but in a selfish way I see my lifelong dream became a reality. I am so blessed to have these two beautiful girls, so lucky that God trusts me to be their mother, and all the years ahead to watch them grow. My daughters may not look like each other but God knew all along that they were meant to be together.

One year ago, on March 3rd she was placed in our arms, and our lives were forever changed. We are so thankful for this sweet, beautiful, smart, funny, happy, loving, strong, sassy, outgoing, little girl. A year ago she was an orphan and today she is a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, classmate, friend, and goddaughter. She has changed our lives and continues to bring sunshine into everyone's days. How can you not love this little girl. We are beyond blessed that God chose us to be her parents. We are forever grateful, today and everyday of our lives.
We couldn't throw a party without cake! We ordered this special Gotcha Day cake from our favorite local bakery, Round Rock Donuts. They make the yummiest donuts and cakes too! The Lottie Lee special- vanilla icing with vanilla cake. It was delicious and we ate it all in less then 24 hours.
And it was the perfect ending to a perfect celebration! Happy Gotcha Day Lottie Lee We love you!
Tonight we celebrated Lottie's Gotcha Day with close friends. We decorated the dining room with Gotcha Day memories and tons of photos. Thanks again to Minus One Designs for the fabluous Gotcha Day banner we can use every single year! Since it was a Monday, we kept it small but special none the less.
We invited her best friend from school Lyla and many who have been a part of our story from the beginning including the Head family, Roy & Krystle, and Lottie's Godmother Kim. On the way home from school, we explained to Lottie that some people were coming to celebrate with us, but she didn't truly understand until she saw them standing on our doorstep. She was especially excited to see her best friend Lyla and her teacher Tiana and her wonderful family husband Eric, son Ryan and daughter Cami.
We celebrated with pizza & cake and a little wine for the adults. It was just so very special and found myself tearing up at times. We are so blessed to have our daughter, but all of these people who have become part of our family has made it even more special. Lottie had a blast running around and playing with her friends.
